Bloody Omaha

My brother Dave looks at the position American soldiers faced over 60 years ago and wondering what it must of have been like. With no Airborne and tank support, Omaha Beach became Bloodly Omaha and 3,000 Americans were killed, wounded or never found. The cartage must have been horrible and just seeing the massive amounts of dead, dying and screaming men agonizing in pain from their wounds would cripple most men. Only three years earlier these same boys were busy chasing girls in their hot rods or in high school without a hint of war.
