On July 11 1944 C company moved Grom staging area. With no transport available we loaded aboard Lst 388 and arrived at Southampton UK. At 1400 we boarded a train and arrived at Newbury 1620 by truck we were taken to Basildon UK at 1745 combat personell received 7 day leaves
