Around May 8 1945 my driver Charley Clark and I had appropriated a Chevrolet staff car to take a look at the Gros Glockner pass in Austria 3798 meters high! Part of the way up the Chev overheated and we had to stop to let it cool. By the third overheat we had not made much headway so we made our way back to our digs in Lofer Austria
